So, this is how our story began
We have Passion Love Focus Time for Coffee
The Business
The owners, husband and wife team, Ali and Andrea, own this town centre gem and is about to take their coffee offer up a level.
This bustling coffee shop Is a modern, ethical coffee haven.
We have many happy customers that can be seen enjoying Little Barista’s creations in their alfresco seating area. Upon entry to the shop, you will be hit with the scent of freshly ground coffee and met with smiling faces and warm welcomes from our friendly team of staff. It’s not just coffee on the menu either; we have an array of sweet and savoury food including sandwiches, soups and cakes, all of which have vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options. And, with the addition of our state-of-the-art coffee roaster, Little Barista is taking things that one step further.
The Science
The coffee-making process is actually very complex. It is quite literally an exact science, and every step in the process requires precise equipment. Any slight shifts with the airflow, humidity, temperature or time when roasting, grinding or brewing can have a significant impact on the final result. Therefore, it’s important that Little Barista have full control over this process so that your first sip of the final product is absolutely flawless.
The exact science isn’t just down to the roasting process though, it starts at the very beginning with the coffee bean farmers. Like wine, different regions of the world produce different types of coffee.
The Ethics
Little Barista’s House Roast uses organic, fairtrade coffee beans from Sumatra, Ethiopia & Colombia
– something they show with unquestionable pride. The Sumatra Orang Utan Coffee Project helps preserve the orangutan populations and their habitat in the Indonesian rainforest while supporting 350 smallholding organic coffee farmers.
So every cup of coffee you drink at Little Barista means: farmers are paid a fair wage to help comply with the conservation standards.
